In my opinion, Apps are the missing link fro most internet marketers. For most of us we are constantly chasing traffic and good ways to monetize. You build a site, finally get some traffic and if they dont convert they are gone. If u capture their email while they are on your site, GREAT! Thats better than not capturing it, but then your email gets mixed in with the other dozens of emails they get daily.

But if you pushed your app on your site, as well as whatever offer you are trying to convert, you then have the opportunity to re-engage that visitors until they uninstall your app through push notifications.

Example

You have a "Skin Care" site that you push affiliate offers on. When traffic hits your site you push them heavy to install your Free Clear Skin app. The app doesnt need to be spectacular it just needs to be good enough. Once they download your app, you can literally reach them every day, every week, every whatever through push notifications...directly to their phone. Offer after offer.

Keep the offers focused.

I respectfully disagree with BigBuddy about targeting Apple products.

1. Apple is MUCH stricter about accepting your app.
2. Apple has a smaller percentage of the mobile market
around 40% vs Android 50% in the usa and even more lopsided worldwide
3. For Apple, the developer fee is $100, for Android it is only $25
4. For Apple I believe you have to actually own a MAC to submit your app. I've heard this over and over but cant actually verify

He is correct that you have to worry about compatibility when building android as there are so many devices. There are subscription services available that will help you build both ios and android apps. I use one and they are supposed to take care of the compatibility issues...you just build your app on top of their code.

I only have 1 app right now it's Android and there has only been 1 crash so it seems that the right subscription service with the right code will basically make it a non issue.

All applications - Google Play Developer Console 2014-04-26 11-35-21.jpeg

From that 1 app I only make about $2 per day but I havent pushed any offers to them, it's just the regular ads. I see the possibilites tho.

And I'm not a coder. If I had more money I could hire one and make sure the app is really good and shoot for IOS also.

BigBuddy, about what percentage of people actually keep the app after downloading? Mine is only around 20%, this seems low but I don't know what the average is. But then again, my app is pretty wack.

Apss are where it's at guys

Thank you for saying that.

Also, you have laid everything out. I would have created the same thread after two months but you are a lot of ahead of me in the App Game. The most important thing that you mentioned is that don't create your app from scratch. You have source codes available from 10$.

Also, the source code from Chupamobile come with multiple app licenses. So people can buy the codes together and reskin it. Thus saving on the source code money as well.

P.S. Would love to hear from you on App Flipping as well.

haha, App Flipping, I have to discuss with meathead..

Forgot to add:

flippa.com also selling apps, so you will get an idea about good revenue generating apps and if you have money can buy directly from flippa.

what sort of budget required for a $50 a day rev app

Thanks for your input pilfer7.

Here I clear only these points:

1. Apple is MUCH stricter about accepting your app.

Not really, if your app just pass the basic guidelines.

Check out this app. Its my app with poor design. (I feel).

https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/piranha-bite/id850546784?ls=1&mt=8

But got featured on 400+ countries in respective categories. If you can design like above app its fine.

2. Apple has a smaller percentage of the mobile market

I agree, Due to the compatibility issue, I suggest ios.

3. For Apple, the developer fee is $100, for Android it is only $25
I agree, it helps for small budget players. But due to this, google play stormed with tons of apps and you have to compete with them to rank your apps high.

4. For Apple I believe you have to actually own a MAC to submit your app. I've heard this over and over but cant actually verify.
This is True. You need good size of investment, before launching the app. But here you can hire devs, who can submit your app. If you want to check your apps development progress, can use testflight.com. Your only investment here will be iphone and ipad and no need of mac.

Regarding uninstall % i guess it will be 10 - 20%. That too, i am guessing according to my ad clicks.

Yes. But Apptopia.com tops the list. Flippa is still new for app flipping.

Yes, you do. Running Macintosh on Windows is possible but not officially supported so there are lot of things you need to do in order to run Xcode for creating apps. Although I heard Git is also helpful in this regard.

Awesome how-to guide. Will be testing this for sure. Thanks, BigBuddy.

Very nice post. I want to know if you are buying ready made source codes. Many others are also buying so we are uploading as it is or we have to do some minor changes in code and graphics.

yes, I buy source codes and use my inhouse team, tweak here and there with features, graphics and launch it in store. you need good dev and designer. Check my original post, with my game ozombie. its the source code of flappy bird. I changed the design and launched it as ozombie. If you are creative, from one source code, you can build 10 apps.

thanks for sharing

one question- i am targeting usa, canada, uk, and minimum suggested bid for cpc is $0.33, cpm option not available for app installs advertising on facebook , how are you getting 3 cents installs?

Great thread Bigbuddy. I really like it. I am planning too to release a very complex game. My team of 6 guys are working on it since March and I hope to get it finished till July. I hope to beat all my records with it :D

This is something new. I know a few people doing this quite successfully. One doubt, I had seen people buying Google play account for higher prices, what they do with these accounts ? I mean as you mentioned that there is no limit to upload apps in one account.

cool post

for your game ozombie what type of keywords do you go for?

i was thinking to launch a kids coloring app, keywords will be like: coloring book for kids, kids coloring, etc....., am i right?

and do you really need a mac to be able to launch an app?
