How much would it cost to get someone to make a whole Iphone app for me. A app with a lot of features. A app kind of like instagram.


And i wasnt sure where to ask this so i just came here.

might be cheaper if you book someone from India...they are badass for really low price.
friend of mine made few apps with some guys from India..and they totaly nailed it! and price was cheaper like 50%.

If you want to do it on the super-cheap, there are several gigs on Fiverr that will make simple apps for iOS/Android as a promotional platform for you.

That is from India. You're not going to find an iOS dev for under $10/hr. They don't have a Mac, or the work-arounds. I highly doubt you'll get one done and tested properly in much less than 300 hours.

Well, if you need something like Instagram, I doubt you have the venture capital needed. I'm sure if he did, he wouldn't be here on this forum with us... he'd be telling one of his buddies on his yacht in St. Tropez about this new venture. Just throwing some ideas out there. The truth is, unless you are a hardcore developer yourself or have incredibly deep pockets you will not be developing an app like that.

Bro you have no idea of how much they charge neither do I. But 5 millions is way of the price.... to make the app if free just need the images and what the app will show. othe then that it depends on how much the developer wants to charge.....

The costs of the development is a minor problem. What about the backend ? If the application goes viral and several million people download it, you will have to spend shit load of money per month for dedicated servers. Good luck with $10,000 budget.

I'm an Apple developer and these prices are all wrong. It depends on what you want your app to do and how much features are loaded into it. A good rule of thumb is you can plan to spend around $15,000 the first year. Most of this will go towards server costs and stuff. IF your app takes off and your servers get nailed you can multiple that a few times per year. I usually charge around $2,000 for basic apps. These are apps that just make it easier for people to connect with you. It includes social media and junk like that. Apps that include push notifications are more.

Why would you want an instagram style app? No one will use it, they will just use instagram. If you want an app to promote your websites or something do that but don't go down the road of instagram. Don't you think there are other companies out there with a crap ton of money that could do that if they wanted? Instagram problem's Is not the "complexity" (i mean, it's a medium difficulty app), the problem is the huge database that you need to buy
