Anytone split-tested this strategy?

I wish to rank for a keyword, was thinking of 2 strategies to do it.

Strategy 1

1. Create 50 web 2.0 properties, have an article on each, and each point to my money site.
2. Blast said web 2.0s with tier 3 links like Wikis etc

Strategy 2

1. Buy 10 aged domains with a few backlinks and authority (hosted on different c class hosting) and have a web 2.0 property on each, with article on each.
2. Blast said domains with tier3 links.

Thoughts?

Is there a reason not to do both?

I suppose I could, just looking for the most cost-effective/quickest way to rank.

Would your wiki sites indexed easily?

1. I would mix both
2. wikis are hard to index, better web 2.0 profiles/bookmarks
3. no c class hosting, multiple shared hosting accounts
