Anything Else Like EZA To Rank Without Off-Site SEO?

EZA is useful to rank for low competition phrases. And you needn't so any extra work. EZA has sufficient google-love to get you ranked without you having to social bookmark or create backlinks.

My question: is there another similar site to EZA that allows this?

I've seen Go Articles rank that way and lots of Web 2.0 sites like Xanga, Snipsly, Xoomba, and Wetpaint - but only for very low competition keywords. Google knows these sites are being targeted for linkwheels and self-promotions with very little real content and they are not showing up as easily on the 1st page of G like they use to. You can thank Howie Schwartz and his Conversation Domination series for part of the problem.

Thank you for the info! Yes, I've noticed less and less web 2.0 on first pages.

Squidoo is another one. But all of these properties are getting slammed by webmasters. As the other person has said here, they could get less and less love from Google in the future.

Articles Base.

They have been ranking just as well as EZA, and in some cases, even better.

The good thing is that they are not nearly as picky about content as EZA and you can have multiple links in your articles.

I've done ok with GoArticles too, my advice is to type in your KW and see whats on the first page already.

I'd recommend buzzle because it's a very powerful authoritative website. It helps rank you for very competitive keyterms.

Yes. But here's the catch you need to remember....

Google like variety, so when you do make a check to see what's ranking already, then you know what sites NOT to use.

For example, if you see that there is a EZA, a Squidoo page, and a Blogger Blog on page 1 for your KW, then don't use the same sites for your content. Instead, you will get better results if you used an Articles Base article, a Hubpage, and maybe a Tumblr blog ,etc.

I have seen much faster and longer lasting results by doing this than I ever saw by trying to go after the same sites as my competitors. It's not impossible, but it takes more work since you will have to out-do them. It's much faster, efficient, and effective to give Google different sites because they love to rank a variety of sites.

A final note is that this can be applied to content types as well. For example, if you see a couple of videos ranking on page 1 but no web 2.0 or Press release, then give Google some web 2.0 and a Press Release as well as go after video.

Doesn't Articles Base pop "no follow" into all of your tags, though?

It does, but if your article is ranking well in SERPS you'll get traffic from it to your website ultimately. So, the bottomline is you still make $$.

Article directories : articlesbase, goarticles (and of course ezines, but i find nowdays that my articlesbase articles can outrank my ezines)

web2.0 : squidoo, hubpages

These are what i have good results with.

I recommended you guys stay away from site like EZA or any web2.0 that have invasive adsense placement.

When you ranked in 1st position you will received a lot of visitors but targeted traffic + adsense = 20%+ adsense ctr. So how about your link ? you will lose a large portion of traffic.

It's also not true that article directory ranked easier than your own domain. Sure when your newly published article go live it sometimes ranks highly in SE but it will drop off the search after a few day. You have to do link building just like your own domain.

It doesn't matter since the OP was asking about sites that rank well in the SERPs and not pass along link juice.

I don't see Articlesbase ranking anymore as before in Google. But, it does in Yahoo still.
