Anyone working Exclusively with Google Discover to get traffic?

Hey guys,
I have been always intrigues about Google Discover. But the issue (according to Google) is that you can't really optimize for Discover.

So, I just wanted to understand the mechanism behind it and if we can benefit from Google Discover with a new site?

Discover's RPM is a lot higher than Google's organic traffic with Adsense.
I wouldn't try to be added to discover on day one, but if I have some really good content, I'd wait until the site is about 3-4 months old and try it then.

Isn't this done automatically? I mean getting added to google discover.

It is, but we can also affect our chances to be featured there.
A super fast site is a must, and AMP is preferred, the content must be engaging and there should be at leas one image wider than 1200px.
The trick I use is to post it to Reddit and buy some upvotes, that way many people there see it. If they comment, and the sentiment around their comments it positive, there's a good chance the site would get featured in Discover.

I appreciate the tip, I've just started to gain some traction on one of my sites in Google Discover

Does this work everytime?

Have you successfully gotten every post you shared to reddit successfully added to discover and attractive impressions and traffic?

Absolutely no, these Redditos are a real pain in the ass.
But once a site is "white listed" for Discover you don't really have to use Reddit unless you have a good article with a lot of potential you want to push a little harder.

Now I see,

I have some sites that are whitelisted for discover. What I think by being whitelisted is that it started getting discover impressions sometime ago. But everything dropped down even though nothing changed on the site.

So, I was wondering. It's even more challenging since there are not precise guidelines.

Consistent posting helps, clickbaity featured image helps a lot, set up AMP if you don't have it.
Beyond that, lists work really good.

I read your post and it was great, I have four questions asking for your help:
1. My niche is not that big, do I need to look for reddit subreddits?
2. Where is the better place to buy likes, fb group, bhw?
3. How long does your case usually take effect?
4. How often do you post weekly/monthly?

You should, just make sure you read the rules, otherwise they'll delete your post.

Out of my last four posts, the first two got on there. But the following two, done in a similar manner, did not.

The ones that did, however, did bring a real big boost.

And, most surprisingly, the two that did still bring views from Google Search even afterward.

When I had a discover site it was never 100% successful.

For some reason the pattern was usually around 8-12 days of silence, then a solid 20+ days of discover, then back to silence. This process repeated itself for around 6 months until the website got hit by the October 2022 update, in which discover and search rankings both tanked.

So if you're in the period of silence, these other two articles could still get picked up by discover one or two weeks after you posted them. It's less likely but still possible.

I got hit by a couple of site problems lately and kind of "lost my positions" on Discover. I'm having an occasional hit, but still unable to hit a consistent stream.
