I looked around a little (probably could have looked better) and didn't find much about twitter ads.
Has anyone used them to grow an account I've got an ecommerce site and want more customers. The account I'd use has about 2000 followers. I get decent engagement but want more any thoughts?

Thank you and if there's already a thread about this sorry please post a link.

    Hey, hope you are well
I've tried Twitter Ads to get followers. And it's not so cheap have to say))

First of all you should set limit of spend per one follower yourself. Don't set auto bid. Seriously.

I've set up maximum bid $0.10 per follower.
GEOs: Tier1 and Tier2 countries. It was okay for me.
I got a lot of followers from South Africa. ($0.05 - $0.10 per follower)
About US and other Tier1... it was about 3-5 followers daily from each country.

I guess you should do next:

    1. Try to scrape users yourself and use Tailored Audience as a targeting for you campaign. May be you'll get more than a couple followers from US daily. And the price will be the same as $0.10

    2. Try CPM basis for Followers campaign. Probably you will get better results than paying per follower. However make sure your targeting is okay and CPM rate is optimal.

Thank you for the reply I started a campaign targeting the US and set the limit to $5 just to see where that gets me. I set it up for clicks to my site. Not sure how it will work.
Were you trying to convert them right away or just building a following?

I've been following and unfollowing in my niche every other day. One day follow the next unfollow. I've used bing ppc and failed miserably a couple times so wasn't sure if it was going to be about the same?

From my experience Ads are expensive. I would recommand follow followers of popular accounts in your niche.

Twitter ads are really expensive and in my experience they are not that useful for gaining followers, I would also suggest you keep going with an organic approach to find good followers from your niche, the process can be hard but its way better (not to mention cheaper)

It's an expensive way. Twitter ads are better if you have a valuable conversion that you are aiming for - like a sale.

I would suggest use a tool like manage flitter, will be much more cost effective for growing your account.
