I have an interested party in a domain I am selling.
Their agent has advised the purchaser requires a 'manual valuation' to be done at 'instant domain sales dot com' (please remove spaces).
Has anyone done business with this valuation company?

This is actually a nice little scam where the agent owns the domain appraisal outfit.
Ingenious actually.

I am not familiar with the site you have mentioned, but to my understanding i think the above process which you mentioned is just a money making process from their end. Also i couldnot get any interesting reviews about them which i much needed to be noted.

This is a total scam.

1. He will approach you that he wants to buy some of your domains.
2. And then, he will ask you to get a domain appraisal services (which he owns)
3. You will pay the domain appraisal company (or the scammer) to appraise your domain.
4. After they appraise your domain, the buyer will not be interested in your domain anymore.

You just paid the scammer who owns the domain appraisal company.

There is few trusted source for selling domains. Flippa, Godaddy Auction, SEDO and few trusted company. Just deal with this companies users. And of course when you will try to sell your domain, use Escrow as a 3rd and middle man. Then there is no chance to lose your domain. If they deny that then you can think they are scammer. Then stay away from them and do not even reply them. Better if you will private your website whois.

Instead of going for these sites. Sell your domain in some of the well know hosting company which will be trustworthy.
