So 3 years ago, someone tracked me through my Instagram account (apparently via my IP) and he got my browser history (the website I visited) and he also got my Facebook account, I don't know how he did it

Now I want to ask if I use my computer > connect to vps > use proxy for my social media account, can I still be tracked? i want to hide my real location

VPN can fairly hide your IP.

I doubt that someone tracked you through a social media account. It's more probable that you installed some kind of malware on your device.

Yes, VPN can protect you on the internet, but if you use unknown developers' software i.e. nulled, torrents, etc you will get hacked again.

There are so many apps or software onlne that can hide your details just try doing your online search...everything is thrown out there
