It requires more than just SEO knowledge you also need to be a programmer, but I bet it pays well:

    - Knowledge of one or more of the following: Java, C/C++, or Python.
    - 4 years of experience developing websites and applications with SQL, HTML5, and XML.

    - Knowledge of one or more of the following: Java, C/C++, or Python : aka building scrapers, bots, automating 2.0's.
-4 years of experience developing websites and applications with SQL, HTML5, and XML: aka building PBNs quickly.

Ironically that's the exact skill set I'd require for a professional black hatter.

For the record, just about any of their gigs require programming knowledge. I met a googler who has an english background, and they asked her to learn some python and they would come back and talk to her again in a few weeks. She did, and she got hired.

That said, Google has very specifically separated organizations. They are a huge company. Search is their baby and they keep it very close. For instance, Adwords guys can't say "hey search guy, tell me how this algorithm works so I can sell more for my customer." Same with Adsense.

It looks like they are pushing their cloud stuff, and they've got a tough market there. Sharepoint, Adobe document cloud, rackspace, are a few of their competitors. Google cloud doesn't have quite the market.
