Anyone using YouTube posts as a parasite?

Yes people are testing it but it's weak & inconsistent fine for short term or low competition not a solid long term strategy

it's very interesting.

never thought of that. Maybe it could make some $$$

I noticed that too and I am very curious if anyone got traffic from these

I've noticed YouTube community posts ranking for my brand and I was thinking hmmm maybe people are using this for parasite SEO purposes.

They never used to index on Google because of infinite scroll but now they get a separate permalink.
That is a really fascinating point. most ppl tend to concentrate exclusively on videos in terms of SEO for uTube but the indexing of community posts adds an extra dimenssion to this. i do not think it will take the place of regular SEO practices but they might come handy in terms of winning branded searches or establishing topiical authority.

Well, they are getting indexed much more frequently these days. Although they won’t work as a long-term parasite SEO tactic, it would be worth trying out since they offer additional chances to get listed in the SER

I have seen them indexed more oten but I don't think we can rely on them as a long term SEO strategy. They can add some visibility but i will still focus on building content on assets you control.

Youtube, reddit, linkedin, etc. all work as parasites. If algorithm favors something, you can use it to rank for that keyword.
For sites like reddit, the responses and overall engagement will determine the ranking.

I've tested it a little, but I see it more as a supporting channel than a reliable parasite SEO strategy. Some posts do get indexed, but I haven't seen consistent rankings compared to dedicated content on authoritative websites.

Same is the case with other platforms. If Google wants to put a reddit post on first page, they'll do it at any cost. If the ranking reddit post has 10 upvotes, you can beat it with your post having 11 upvotes. They also consider other factors like comments, sentiment, views, etc., but the overall strategy is straightforward instead of a complex algorithm.

I have used same strategy for a different platform and made good money in past. That was around 3-4 years back.
