Anyone using Wikis for backlinks?

I managed to get a wikipedia link to my site for about a week, and was averaging 5 sales a day from it at $40 each. So is it worth it, if you get it to stick YES.

haha think to yourself when you ask this question how you could make it work. go look at other wikipedia backlinks and think to yourself what they have that you can write a better article and source about. Do it, see if your link sticks. If the link sticks me, trust me its worth the effort to get your article in there!

I jumped from 5 to 4 on a very competitive term the week i got a wikipedia link to stick. I can't say anything defnate as I also built about 2000 other links that week.

But I'm not going to remove it to find out if I drop!

I've got a bunch of links on wikipedia... I am pretty sure they are no follow but I do get targeted traffic from those links.

Same here. I didn't notice any improvements in SERP rankings although I get quite a lot of targeted traffic just like the man, BassTrackerBoats have said.
