Anyone using vanity phone numbers?

Hey guys,

I recently came across the concept of so called vanity phone numbers, what basically is a phone number with text letters in it like 1 (800) CONTACTS

I thought to myself getting such a number for buisness & private would be pretty cool and outstanding (at least here in EU), so does anybody know how to & if this is difficult to set up?

You do realize the letters are actually what numbers are on the keypad right?
Like any of the letters ABC are represented by the keypad number 2
So for example 1-800-249-7253 can be spelled as 1-800-BHW-SALE so you get to remember it easier.

I had two in the past; telco didn't understand why I wanted a scrambled number that was only available for prepaid sims.
You can use a website like phonespell to get what you need then just hunt it down from which service provider.

How to : The proceedure to get a non-vanity phone number and a vanity phone number from a particular provider, are exactly the same. (Proceedure may vary from provider to provider, though).
Set up : The setting up of a non-vanity phone number and a vanity phone number from a particular provider, are exactly the same. (Setting up may vary from provider to provider, though).
The one & only difference between a non-vanity phone number and a vanity phone number is the price.
