anyone using Rt-Theme on wordpress?

Hi,

I bought this theme off themeforest and dont undestand how it works at all.

the instructions that come with it are no good and there support were no help at all.

it looks like a cool theme.

If anyone has used it please let me know. I'd love to ask a few questions.

Just saw a screenshot of it and I feel dejavu. It seems like I've seen this theme somewhere, and I wondered what that theme. Now I got the answer

weBay, what's your question/s? I've checked the documentation, pretty standard fare, I can see why you are in trouble, there not too much details but straight tech stuff
You probably won't need half of that unless you plan an all-out site. I would suggest planning on what you would use and ask your questions here.

What I want to build is a small 4 page site. front page with a slider with a load of pictures on it. then 3 pictures below which link to 3 sub pages.

sounds simple enough right? i have done much more complicated stuff with other themes. but this one i just dont get.

OK, I tested it, its not that hard

You have to use the widgets - wp-widgets-1 rt the slider widget- add 1 for each image in home page slider tab in widgets page- you can upload images from the widget menu- If you want to display images only, choose manual from the widget menu and add the link and alt text; Add new widget&repeat for each image. If post or page is selected from widget menu it will rotate the content of selected post/page

You should select from theme menu - slider -the effect, duration and I suggest resize if your images are not cropped for the slider - I would suggest to crop them before as the resize it will just resize the width to fit

For tabs use rt theme box widget added to home page contents tab- again manual or else the content will be displayed. Just upload the image and link to your page/post. You have to define in - General settings - Home page settings - the width - 1/3 for 3 tabs/images and so on.

You have to also create menus from WP admin and create/set a blog page if you're going to have one.

I think this covers your needs. Let me know if I was clear enough.

Wow, i'm happy I found this thread! I've been trying to find help on the Themeforest RT 11 theme (Widget Slider Box) and i'm having tons of issues with getting them to work. Clau82 check your PM box

Hi, i just setup wordpress website using RT-Theme.

But, i have problem about put the widget at sidebar.

For detail, this is step how i put widget:

1- Dashboard >> Appearance >> Widgets
2- I drag widgets to sidebar - For example i want to drag "Calendar" widgets to "Sidebar for blog".
3- After i drag n save that "Calendar" widgets, then i check my website page, that widgets not appear at sidebar.
4- Then, i go to Appearance >> Widgets again, the widgets that i drag to sidebar disappear.
5- I try other widgets for test, but the result still same.

So, please help me about this problem.

I'm sorry because my english so bad. But, i need someone to help me with this problem.
