I’ve seen people mention getting thousands of visits from Reddit. Is that still possible in 2025, or does Reddit instantly ban self-promotion?

reddit can still drive traffic, just make sure your posts add value and don't spam links. Self promo gets banned quick.

It’s still possible, but tricky. Reddit hates direct self-promotion, you need to be active, provide value, and share links naturally. Otherwise, you’ll get banned fast.

The last time I used it for blog traffic was around 2017, during Trump's first presidency. Was driving some political traffic.
I think Reddit has gotten stricter. Driving traffic directly to your blog might be more difficult. But not impossible.

Reddit still works for traffic, but before sharing your links, you need to build trust and earn karma to post in different subreddits. Once you’ve done that, start real discussions and share links naturally. remember, the algorithm now values reputation over promotion.

If you do it right, it can work very well. But you have to understand that most people have really good self-promotion detectors, so you have to make an effort for what you are sharing to feel organic.

Yeah, it still works in 2025, but not if you just drop links. Reddit hates self-promo unless you blend in first. Join niche subs, post value content, and only link when it actually fits the convo. I still get solid traffic when my posts hit the right audience naturally.

It’s still possible, but only if you add real value first. Post helpful content, engage in discussions, and share your blog sparingly blatant self-promotion gets removed fast.

Yeah, it’s still possible in 2025, but you have to be smart about it. Reddit traffic works great if you share valuable or discussion-based content instead of dropping links directly. I get decent blog traffic by posting helpful insights first, then linking my blog only when it adds real context. Each subreddit has its own vibe, so blending in and engaging genuinely makes all the difference.
