Im trying to use IMacro to log into accounts and do voting for me, I need to figure out some way to handle this besides logging into accounts and voting manually, it takes FOREVER that way. I am brand new to IMacro, im just going in, clicking Record, and doing the steps I want the macro to do. It is hanging up at the login for some reason. I am getting error " RuntimeError: element INPUT specified by ID:usd808_3 was not found, line: 7 (Error code: -921)" Any ideas how to fix this, or what else I could do to handle my situation?

That ID is not the same everytime ... you need to specify by something other than that ID. Grab a copy of firebug for more info.

Ok, use your brains a little here. Don't just hit record and play without looking at your code. It's actually very easy to figure out.

If your going into this line of work it's essential that you are able to trouble shoot, innovate, and create on the fly.

You can find how or brainstorm just about anything with enough diligence ... and google.

As far as the current problem at hand, you are going to want to download firebug, which allows you to inspect various elements on a web page. Then read the entire imacros wiki and firebug documentation.

    http://getfirebug.com/
    http://wiki.imacros.net/Main_Page
    http://getfirebug.com/wiki/index.php/Main_Page

get through that and you will be creating your own advanced imacros in no time. And understanding it.

Thank you zeno, I will check those websites out, and hopefully learn everything I need to know!

You do believe this is my best way to do what I am trying to do?

That makes sense, the change the ID on the submit button to something random each login, so that you cant do what I am trying to do. This means I must do more research to find code to inspect the button, pull the id, and change it in my macro. Much more reading ahead for me:)

I have been able to get the macro to do everything I would like it to do. There were some things I cannot find on the wiki though, I want to pull info from a .txt file off my computer and cannot find how to do that. The loop statement is also not explained very well. What I want to do is create my own .txt file with the account info stored in it. The first line of the file would contain the number of entries in the file, which would tell the macro how many times to loop. If I could find an example of a macro reading a .txt file, and a macro with a loop I could probably figure this out myself. Thank you everyone for your help.

I thought I had this macro finished finally. Figured out the loop, how to use the txt file and everything! Test ran the app, set it to run the loop 47 times, on loop 28 it somehow messes up the login and breaks the macro. I tried it again, and breaks on loop 15, tried it again it breaks on loop 19. This is very frustrating, I have no clue why it is doing this. It seems like it must be the macro messing up, not something that ive done considering that it is crashing at different places each time?
