Anyone using Google alerts for link building?

Okay based on my keywords I set few alerts on Google. I made around 100 b.links, however not seeing any SERP improvement.

So this is wasted of time or what?

And why experts using Google alerts?

It will take a while before the backlinks you created take effect i think. I did some manual link building 2 months ago for one of my sites and only now am i seeing positive movements

As for google alerts, maybe im missing something but it never seems to alert me to anything. Probably something im doing wrong.

Instant rss submission after creating the links and in next alert I am seeing my link in alert as well.

I can remember "Am I wrong for trying to reach the things that I can't see". However, going through this assumption. :captain:

what are you settng gogle alerts to alert you to?
Quality backlink building is a matter of getting your links placed on goog qulaity sites that already rank.
Thats what you want to target.
