They can be trusted, but “trust” depends on risk-profile you're okay with. If you’re holding a lot of cash, a fully licensed bank (like Starling) might feel safer. If you’re doing a lot of cross-border business, a fintech like Wise or Revolut could make more sense — just be aware of their safeguards and possible trade-offs.
100% agree. I would also add:
- Depends on the countries you work with: some service providers will shut you down if you get money from countries they don't like even if they are legit countries (e.g. UAE is "banned" for some service providers).
- Depends on how large are the payments: some service providers will close your account if you move a lot of money at once (aka anything more than 100k)
- Depends on the crypto involvement you may want. Wise for example doesn't allow payments to exchanges (or most of them at least)
But 3S Money is definitely not the best option:
- They have (or used to have at least) an onboarding fee, specially if you don't want to wait for 3 months to get approved. Paying it doesn't guarantee that you will get the account.
- They have a monthly fee which is something that may affect how you manage the account (e.g. it's not interesting as a backup account)
- The fees are not that good
- The onboarding may takes ages. If there is anything complicated in your company or business, you will be answering questions for months.
We have a partnership agreement with them (still in force), but after the issues some clients had with them, we have never used or recommend them again.
If you want to submit an application with them, we with you good luck.
