    Hello,

I just joined affiliate window as I want to do some travelling affiliate marketing and they have a few good companies who use them. Before I start pumping money into advertising, I just wanted to see if anyone works with them and can share their views.

    Thank you :)

Affiliate Window are huge, they're great to deal with and if you've got a boat load of traffic the affiliate managers will usually bend over backwards to get your traffic pointing their way.

I recently used Affiliate Window as they handle the Ticketmaster affiliate program. I built a website for Kate Bush tickets, got it to number 1 in Google within a week and then sent over 1,000 prospective buyers to the Ticketmaster website on the morning Kate Bush tickets went on sale. Unfortunately, they didn't have enough tickets to sell people and only 78 of my referrers were able to buy them. Even so, they spent over £21,000 and I was due to receive £340. Not much return for all the work I had to do, but OK. I did the same thing for Monty Python Live tickets and built up a total of almost £400.

A month later, I'm due to receive the first £340 plus the £5 registration fee they charged me weeks ago. Almost a week after the payment is shown to have gone through, no money had reached my account so I contacted support. After a long online conversation, I was promised a reply within a few minutes. Nothing. The next day I contacted them again and I was eventually told that my payment was being held because my account is being investigated. As I was careful to keep within their terms and conditions before I did anything, I asked why. What was I supposed to have done? They're not allowed to tell me, I was told. I was given an email address for the "compliance" department and I shot off an email to them to ask what's going on… so far, no reply. The dashboard on the website shows that I've been paid. (I haven't).

My main issue is that they seem to have started investigating my account (for what?) the day the payment was supposed to have been paid, over six weeks after the transactions had taken place. I'd already missed one payment date because my commission "wasn't cleared" in time; it was cleared the day afterwards. No one has asked me any questions and no one has contacted me about this or about anything else. I can see the way this is going…

I suspect they're going to hang on to the money and not tell me what I'm supposed to have done. I think it's because I sent a load of traffic their way in the early days and then nothing since – because there haven't been offers worth promoting, frankly. It's like a kangaroo court. Whatever happens, you can bet the people who bought tickets aren't going to be given any kind of refund.

I'll keep you informed, but my advice on dealing with these people is AVOID. If they screw me, I am going to go out of my way to spread word about it. On the other hand, they may pay me tomorrow… even if they do, that won't excuse the sneaky, underhand way they've been treating me. Let's see…
