I tried looking WP Syndicator up on google, but all I found were a bunch of affiliate sites. The only thing I could find on BHW was the fact that it's on the Do Not Share List.

I don't mind paying for it if it works, but right now all I can find is a bunch of marketing fluff.

Does anybody have first hand experience with this plugin?

I've been testing it out for the last couple of days and everything seems to work great with it except the twitter module. All it does is put up a bitly link on twitter without a description which doesn't help with gathering followers. I have put in a support ticket about it. All of the other Web2.0 sites are working well.

Thanks for the input. I use Twitter Tools plugin (which I just had to switch over to the Twitter API, what a pain) which works well, so the Twitter issue wouldn't bother me.

I'm going to try and do some more research, but I'm very interested in this plugin.

yea i wanted to find out some info on this plugin too. how is it unique to these other tools that i own.

A friend of mine uses it and loves it. Give it a try and post your results back here.

I had a few thoughts on Wpsyndicator.

I've been using the WPsyndicator plugin for a couple of weeks now. It pretty much does everything as advertised.

The plugin author is quick to respond and actually solicits comments and requests. I think there have been 3 or 4 upgrades since I originally purchased and anticipate this will be a continual work in progress.

After you set up your Web 2.0 sites, everything else becomes easy. When setting up the plugin you get to determine the size of the snippet that will be posted to your Web 2.0 sites, and when making a post you can change the "Read More...." to a link with a Keyword Rich anchor text such as "Free WP Syndicator ebook....." I like the fact that their demeanor is positive and welcoming.

The new version has the ability to automatically post to the Web 2 sites...perfect for autoblogs and you can set a limit on how many times you want to post to the 2 0 sites. So you can blast away if you want to see just how much it will take before your 2.0 sites are deleted.

I found that you really need to limit your posting to 2 a day otherwise you'll start losing your web 2.0 sites. It has a nice feature when you do are doing a regular blog post and then hit the "syndicator" button. You can tick which 2.0 sites you want that particular post to be submitted to.

As I experimented with the plugin I found some of the Web 2.0 sites showing up on page 3 and 4 of google. Doesn't happen all the time though.

So....I'd have to say it seems to be a good natural way of getting backlinks as long as the autoposting function isn't abused. As far as causing more traffic to my sites....can't say I noticed anything yet, but I think you need to think long term with WP Syndicator.

foxriver for an autoblog what setting to you need to make it post just 2 posts a day on auto?

I have it set to excerpt 500-

auto syndicate checked off
autoblog compatibility checked off

max daily post 2

Is this the correct settings to make it post on auto just 2 times a day?

on typepad for example with these settings it does not post everyday, and there are post being added to the autoblog...

I just want to make sure that I have this setup properly.

Thanks

those are the settings I use, but I'm manually posting.

I suspect the reason you aren't seeing anything on typepad is because you're probably autoposting and you have both autosyndicate and autoblog not ticked.

As I said, I use it selectively with each post so its totally manual.

The autoblog compatability and autosyndicate are fairly new.

I would assume, if you are autoblogging, tick both of those options and just keep the "max daily posts" to 2 and you should be safe.

If you change those 2 settings you should start to see posts on typepad.

Hope that helps

Good luck!

Sorry when I said checked off I meant they they were on... Like if you checked off a list.. So it seems that this is setup correctly... It is posting to type pad, just not everyday. I just wish there were a faster way to create the accounts..LOL :)

Thanks for answering this.

I seem to remember there being a delay when posting to typepad....also had the problem of not posting all the time. In fact, all the accounts except blogger do this every now and then.

One thing with these types of plugins that post to social sites, directories, rss directories etc. I found that its ok to start with a free plugin found here, but there are usually many upgrades because these sites keep changing to prevent people from doing what we are doing :D

So.....if you like it, you might want to consider purchasing it so you have the latest release. I don't know what version was available here, but there hasn't been an upgrade in a while so you should be ok.

When you find out how to crank out those accounts....let me know :D
