always good to hit Google first and search out reviews
of a particular proxie service

Whatever you do, *DO NOT* buy proxies from proxiesforrent.com. Their proxies are non responsive and when you go on chat they will claim otherwise and refuse to refund you. They are incompetent and a bunch of worthless scammers.

Avoid proxiesforrent.

Their support sucks, really!
I got 7/10 of working proxy, not bad... after 4 days all of them are dead, not good.
Waiting 4 days for tech support with no luck. I will not not recommended them to anyone.

Anyone have a luck getting a refund from this company? Paypal claim/dispute?

Absolutely the worst company ever, don't use them.

I second the general opinion here.
I was in doubt whether to buy from them or not, but then a quick look at review sites and google helped the decision not to go for it.
Smart move it seems now.

they are a scam i bought from them 2 days ago i didnt get my proxies till now and i sent emails tickets and no response

I know this topic is quite old, but thought I'd share my experience, which sadly isn't a great one.

I ordered proxies from them a few days back, I got them sent through email I believe within 24 hours. I went to test the proxies and none of them worked. I contacted their web chat service who told me they were working and if they weren't I should requested a refund.

I asked if I could just request the refund in the chat box? Which they told me I had to do it via support ticket. So, I sent a support ticket requesting my refund and a few days later I hadn't heard any thing from them.

I contacted their web chat today and through conversation they said the technical team are away and I would get a reply soon. I waited and then they closed the web chat down, not whenever I go on to their website the we chat disappears each time. It looks like they've banned my IP from the web chat. POOR SERVICE!

STAY AWAY FROM PROXIESFORRENT!

I wish I had read this thread before!

I'm bumping this here. I recently used them and was trying to cancel today. When googling for the cancel page or alike, this thread popped up. I was going to create a new one but I'll fill you guys in here.My view on them? FUCK THEM. Don't use them.We paid for 200 USA 'private' proxies and were given 500. I thought 'damn what a deal' until the users of our system started getting banned from their accounts.I made software that deletes our proxies if they are bad or if they are not from the US...It deleted 60 from Australia. The rest were USA only.Later, we got a complaint about an account log-in from Australia.I ran my 'cleaner' again ... 6 more now came up as Australia. So, the location of their proxies actually changes, no lie.Further, I went to log-in today to cancel and what do I see ... "Shared Proxies" ...So, now I know why we got the hook-up. We paid for 200 private proxies, they apparently didn't have them and instead of being honest, they gave us a bunch of shared proxies. This led to multiple users getting temporarily banned from their accounts that our software operates on. You guys can imagine what a pain that can turn into.Luckily these users have been patient. This could have easily caused more damage. So like another person said, if you're just browsing the internet, whatever. If you want proxies for a serious project, care about your account, or actually want to receive what you pay for - go with someone else.Just my experience ... Figured I'd share.

You should've checked to see if they even required authorization to use the proxies too. Lol. I'd hope they've fixed it by now, but there was a good 6 months last year where they didn't even have a way to authorize users, and anyone who knew where to scan and on what port could've had a nice lil list of proxies. ;) I'd stay far away.
