Anyone used proxiesforrent.com ?

I haven't used em, but I did visit their site (thanks to the OP's post). They do have cheap prices.
They had a live help widgety thing on the page, so I decided to ask a few questions. Mainly I wanted to know if they would work with Tweetattacks, because this is what I am needing them for.
Whenever I ask proxy providers if it will work with TA and tw*tter, they always say yes. but even though you can sign into tw8tter with the proxy does not mean you can use it in TA. They use https to log in and a lot of proxies fail or are too slow, or may even be blacklisted.
So the straightup guys will tell you can try it and if it doesn't work, they will refund. Sometimes they offer a proxy to try.
So this chatty widgetty thing asks if it can help me, I go thru my questions, and ask if I can try one real quick just to see if I can log in with TA with it. He says sure, and then leaves the chat. I wait for about 10 minutes thinking he might be setting one up or something, but he doesn't comeback.
So I poke him in the chatty thing (sounds perverted) and instead of coming back to chat, the widgety chat thing poofs off my screen! No more chat for me!
I thought that was rude. They did have a contact page, so I asked my simple question again, along with asking if they are US proxies or if US was available. I get an email back that my sales support ticket was received, expect an answer... bla bla bla.
So I forget about it for awhile. A couple days later I notice the ticket in my email hasn't been answered yet, so I check it's status. It's been closed with no answer. Once again, how rude. I reopen it and say if you can't answer a couple pre sales questions, how can you expect to get any business.
Couple days go by, no response. I check status again, closed again with no comments or answers.
So...... take this long winded story for what you will.... but I won't be doing any business with this rude and apparently unknowledgable person. What if you do want a refund, or the proxies are down, or some other issue?? expect closed tickets with no answers it seems.....
So I would stay away.... FAR away from them....... :saeek:

I purchased proxies from that site once. The proxies lasted just couple of days. Even the first day I couldnt even use them for scraping because they where already banned.

Haha, maybe I should state a disclaimer about the aff links. But I was tired of searching all the separate threads on BHW here for recommendations and put together a site where I went and tested the popular providers and gave my feedback.
Hopefully my honest reviews will yield a reward from time to time

hehe... no worries..... the forum doesn't allow affiliate links but it's your site and you can do that there.... it's what most of us do..... irate:
irate:They are absolutely horrible. I had to get refunds on 4 out of 5 orders. Their proxies access went down after a week. Not that they stopped working on the sites I was using them on, they stopped working altogether...no access to any sites, no explanation. Responses to technical support were answered but not helpful. Replacement IP's didn't work.

Wow I was dumb and didnt scour for their reviews first!!!! I placed an order, luckily i called my card provider and cancelled the transaction!!!!

This is the worst private proxies ever.
These proxies have the same response time as free public proxies!!!
I used them for programs such "AllInScraper", "ScraperBox", "AllInAnchor".
Do not waist your time!! In addition to all, it's been a week since I asked them for a refund. I haven't received it yet. They just ignore me.
They answer for questions in about 12 hours. They probably want me to turn around and leave my money behind.
I hope my review was helpful and will save you time and money.
My Review: Don't use them!
They completely failed to cancel my subscription. Even after assuring me it would be canceled, i got billed again for another month. I must of been told about 3 times (chat and email) that it was canceled or they were going to cancel it when it wasn't. I finally contacted 2checkout and they canceled the recurring billing. I don't know about their private proxies, but for their shared proxies, they use HTTP 1.0...wtf? These shared proxies are slow as hell most of the times (probably being raped by a whole bunch of other shared customers) and they seem to only support 1 connection per customer at any one time....so your fucked for any multi-threading software.
Only positive is they support the "CONNECT" command and can be used for other things other than HTTP.

they're legitimate, but their policies basically state that you can only use them for legal things like browsing.

Its True .... I have purchased the little package to check the website on 12-10-12 ...wrote several emails to their support , talk with support online but i still not receive any proxy any reply ...any refund ....
