Anyone Use Public Proxies In Their Bots?

Does anyone use public proxies in their custom made bots? Example scraped from Scrapebox list.

If not do you guys know of a good, reliable source of shared proxies for $0.50 or less?

I tried buyproxies247.com but they didn't work well and ended up having to get a refund.

Do the proxies have decent uptime or do they constantly die out and go offline?

Could I use one proxy to load 50 URLs in Selenium over and over without it dying on me?

it scrapes for proxy sources then scrapes sources, dedupes and filters by the metrics which you set.

If you were to set the proxies to export to yourdomain.com/your-proxies.txt all those which are live and have 90%+ uptime then, yes.

They are still public proxies, you have just agregated and tested them yourself.

I've used public proxy but like all public proxy's they die fast or adventually die or not really workable for ssl.
Only thing u can do is use a program like gsa that keeps ur proxy list fresh. An even then you will eventually run out of working proxies. And even this the program running the proxies would have to refresh it's proxy list when gsa does which no software I'm aware of does for a bot.

Privates proxies are the fastest an stay active the longest. Usally only die when they been banned. A private proxy is private for the fact it typically requires a auth crediental an typically is a VPN sever thus is why there fast because they run on high network speeds

If ur cracking or doing anything that requires fast an reliable private is the only way to go.

Public proxy's are really too slow and die to quickly for really any use but testing bots, or something that time and success is not important. You'll spend majority of your time scrapping an checking if the proxies are valid them doing anything elss

If you write your bot to expect and handle failure properly, crappy public proxies will slow you down but won't cripple you. I'm writing a custom harvester that'll get me a few thousand public proxies and out of those there are a bunch that'll work well.
