Anybody have any experience with DigitalAccessPass? It's relatively new membership site plugin. Plus it claims to work even on regular websites, not just WP.

As least that's how I've understood the sales page:

Code:
http://www.digitalaccesspass.com

It looks like a good setup with lots of useful features, but just wanted to see if anyone here has tried it and have some thoughts about it.

He wants $167 for one license & $497 for unlimited licenses (sites).

Thanks!

I use Digital Access Pass on 3 different sites -
- 1 sells 'lifetime member access" to digitally streamed products (non-recurring) - The second is a microcontinuity drip feed site - all material remains invisible until it gets dripped - The third is a ful-on membership site - free and paid members, protected but visible content - some drip-content. DAP also integrates with Wordpress user tables so you can integrate a forum.

It also has a product-specific auto-responder for each member level/product, ability to give away free memberships, built in affiliate program, option for pay per view (or click) products - its a really capable platform for everything from product launches to monthly subscription sites, one-off membership sites, etc.
Our sales on one site went up 1000% percent after installing the script.

NOTE: I'd strongly consider spending the $167 or so and buying the script - the owner puts out a significant update every month or so....and he provides very good, and much needed at times, support.

I shouldn't be surprised - That response was as predictable as it was narrow minded. My sites are for basketball coaches - http://hoopclinics.com and http://coachesacademy.net. I don't know the first damn thing about how to make membership scripts. The fact that I'm surfing around on this site should tell you that I've used my share of nulled scripts...I was just relieved to actually get some support since I paid for DAP, instead of wasting hours of my time trying to figure it out without any help, like normal.

Plus, the site owner is a good dude. So I said something nice about him...I'm sorry that kind of thing comes as such a shocker to you.

Thanks Netpup!

Appreciate your comments about DAP.

Hope everyone has a safe & profitable 2010! :D

DAP is the best I agree. I use it on 2 sites and am getting ready for a third. Ravi the software owner is a great guy and gives first class support. Highly recommended.

Can you share the latest version?

Thats the beauty of using wordpress as a membership platform...use any theme you want...odds are, you're site wont be a clone of every other membership site out there, as is the case with most non-wordpress membership software.

Any theme will work...of course, there are nuances to making any theme work exactly the way you want to...but with wordpress, almost any problem you run into can be fixed with a plugin or simple theme tweak.

I'm putting a membership site together using the product launch theme over at Cheap Internet Marketing Tools...the theme is great for evergreen product launches and with some tweaks it can handle the members area as well as the marketing.

i use it to ,at first was confused about to set up for html ,the path to php for cron job but then after that is easy (i don't like wordpress)

It is really hard to work with it especially if youu have a lot of content.

Good gravy. If you don't have a lot of content, any membership site is going to be hard work - that's what the punters are paying for.

This script slowed my Wordpress site to a crawl and required some crap called PDO. Plus, he's charging a hidden $20 bucks each month. Betcha didn't know that. Lol...

Ripoff. Just get EasyMemberPro and launch the damn thing.

Well, he's not chargin me a hidden 20 a month. Not unless it's coming from a bank account I didn't know I had...

->Netpup I know this post is nearly a year old, however those are some nice sites.

Thanks netpup for your review and insight, although I don't have that kind of money right now I'm bookmarking it for latter. BTW your sites look good, hope the best for you this year.

Hi,

I'm actually looking for a good membership plugin. I've already tested WishList, and find it not really user friendly.

DAP seems good. aMember too. I didn't know about EasyMemberPro...

Which one would you advise me to get?
