Anyone tried manipulating Google Cached webpage as a backlink?

Just got this super random heavy black hat idea. You know when you click "Cached" on some search result on SERP? It loads webcache.googleusercontent.com page:

And it still has do-follow backlinks, so if we plugged many backlinks to this cached page, it can look like they are coming from this subdomain. Anyone tried something with this?

Doesn't sound like a bad idea.

But surely the cached url changes when google updates the cache so you would have to repeat this process over and over?

It is astounding to see someone thinking out the box and yet this thread has 0 comments.

Yet if a post about PBN popped up EVERYONE would jump and comment on it.

Sounds like a bad idea. Backlink can only work for you when it is indexed. Now ask yourself who can index Google cache?

lol.
If you plug lots of backlinks to this cached page, it should get indexed. And you could even make it have a unique content: make a content on your domain, wait for it to get cached, then save the cached URL and change the content on your domain.

Now the question is whether they can be valuable as a backlink.

That's smart, need to test if you can index the link and test it's power.

whats more interesting is the one without date of custom search that are cached

Turns out some of these indexed cache pages already have been crawled by Majestic and have their metrics.

I think this is revolutionary, but quite easily for google to fix, if it becomes mainstream.

I just checked outgoing links overall thewebuser cache domain
and then crosschecked which ones had the most links incoming from indexed cache according to ahrefs
the top ones did not have any sizeable ranks in comparison to total RD count vs % of that being cache indexed links
conclusion I do not think they assist much but feel free to test against this data

If you access this: http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/robots.txt

You'll see that /search which is the first result in the site: search screenshot you posted is disallowed by robots.txt.

This goes to show how broken Google's current index is. Their message basically means: "This result should not be here due to robots.txt but we showed it anyway"

Google does not respect robots.txt on its own properties.
