Anyone thinking of not using Firefox anymore?

I'm so used to typing my search in the address bar because its way quicker than going to google.com but with the new update it displays yahoo search results which are way subpar compared to google's. Say what you want about trying to target Yahoo now for SERPs but I'm pretty sure many people are just going to jump ship to Chrome and its not worth changing SEO strategies. What's your opinion?

If your default search engine is set as google in firefox settings you will see google results, or has firefox made it not possible after the update?
 
You should be able to change your default search results in the settings.
 
Well aren't you guys amazing :) Almost made me switch over to the bad guys.

I didn't look up if you could do it because I wanted to give Yahoo a chance and it just frustrated me today.

Trust me, as someone who can use GSA and Scrapebox and not doing this, I'm truly embarrassed.
 
I have not used FireFox for many years now, and do not intend on doing so, it went unbearably slow and shitty over the years.

Absolutely. Firefox has been my favourite browser for so many years, but not anymore. It's extremely slow and eats up a lot of ram. If those issues were fixed I would gladly use Firefox again.
 
I just switched the default search engine and continue to use firefox. Although, as others have mentioned I have noticed it to be a bit slower. The newest update has really got me thinking about switching.
 
I love FireFox but I'm getting error like "Shockwave Flash Player crashed" something like this.. This is annoying.
I've latest version of Flashplayer.

Otherwise, Good Browser!
 
I use Firefox portable (installed on a flash drive, with several SEO add-ons, without Google as the default search engine), and that seems to solve most of the clunky operation problems. That allows one all the versatility of FF without the crap, and without being dependent on that nosy Google automatically spying on everything.

This browser is based of firefox but way better, doesnt force shitty yahoo on you and doesnt crash nearly as much as ff

I always use chrome but sometimes I am afraid of google about what they might be storing, from all of my personal data.
 
Just switched from Chrome to Firefox. Have been using Chrome for years, and used Firefox before that. Everything goes in cycles... Surprised at how good firefox has gotten. I find it better than the current iteration of chrome.

I simply couldn't stand the privacy issues in Chrome, so that's why I switched. I am using a firewall to monitor what my software does and noticed that chrome calls back to google when I am not using it... probably it sends back all the info it collects about my browsing habits.

Firefox is definetively the best browser for privacy, with noscript, requestpolicy, self-destructing cookies extensions and one of the adblockers with anti-tracking filters. Also lots of good things you can tweak in about:config to make it more private. Combined with a good VPN, at least I feel like I have some privacy, although I know a lot more is needed to achieve full privacy (working through VM's, multihop vpns, etc).

startpage and duckduckgo are also much more private than google, although google definetively provide the best search results.
