Anyone testing +1 effects (real/fake) SERP movement?

I have personally tested it with some +1 service and some natural plus with my friends. I couldn't notice a huge difference. Social media does a role in seo and SERP movement but the fraction is small and isn't enough to make a site stick to #1 for a long time. It does helps building a good Google trust on the site based on the social media activities, but things should be natural.

I have got 120 odd +1s on my home page. About 18 were natural, the others were from a service, but drip fed over the course of a week.

Not seen any benefits other than a higher number shown on my website.
I suppose it is worth it even for that, because it is shameful to have a website with the +1 button and just 3 votes...

It is like having a website for business and an old school hit counter showing just 11 visits.

I have ordered 1000 +1s from UK accounts for my website split between the various pages and drip fed over a couple of weeks.

So I will let you know if it makes any difference or not.

+1s do nothing for SERPs
If they do anything it only matters on extremely non-competitive things.
It's easy as hell to "drip feed" +1s to a site in perpetuity for free behind proxies.
 
I've conducted the experiment on one of my sites - it is rather new - 4 months old pharnma blog. When I started a month ago it had no pluses and now it has 43 google pluses both natural and traded. The bad think is I haven't seen any reasults - neither bad nor good - the ranking hasn't changed much since
 
I have seen an increase in rankings, but I dont think it is down to the +1s.
I suspect it is down to other backlinking that Ive done recently.

What is good though, is that it makes the website look popular, have 600 odd +1s showing on the page creates the image that this is a very popular website and company...
 
I experimented a site with 300+ likes and noticed a change in rankings - it climbed 2-3 spots up but later fell 15 spots down :(
 
I have 400+ on my website. And the impact on SEO is amazing, im on the third page of google, before that, i was somewhere there...where 5 million others :)
 
Didnt see any impact on SERPs with 2500 +1, these were dipped over time.

Waited for month to see some results - nada. Then started my normal backlink campaign and went from page 6 to 2nd spot in a matter of week.
