Anyone Successfully Using Yahoo Pipes With Twitter?

Last month, I bought an ebook that showed the reader how to set up Yahoo Pipes to retweet on tweets people used keywords you pre-selected in your Pipe (mini-computer program?).

Anyway, I set up 4 pipes, and all appear to be working just fine. In 3-4 weeks since setting up Pipes, I have now had more than 5,700 clicks on my link. Unfortunately, I have exactly 0 sales, $0 made:eek:

My question is whether anyone has successfully used Yahoo Pipes with Twitter and had some conversions and most importantly, made any coin (and/or anything else that can be monetized, for that matter, i.e. Facebook, etc)?

I don't mind setting up these Pipes, so if someone knows of a way to capitalize with them and is interested in working out a 50-50 deal, let me know; I am more than happy to try to make this a win-win! Beats the $17 or whatever it is I spent on the e-book!

Setting up pipes is fun isn't it. I am glad you started this thread, I too was thinking that pipes could be quite useful so I can't wait to see more posts!
 
Most definitely! I suspect there are a few others out there that have twists when it comes to using Pipes. I am certainly hoping to learn something that can turn into a monetary reward.

The Pipes are easy to set up IMHO; it's having them properly set up to 1) get traffic; 2) convert; and 3) make bank that is the key.

Please share anything you learn outside of this Forum regarding Pipes in this thread; I shall be sure to do likewise!
 
Been wanting to try this out for sometime now with CPA. I just finished setting up one Pipe. I'm using feedburner. I am very confident I'll make some money today because my niche (in fact my keyword) seems to have a lot of activity on twitter. Damn what ebook is that you guys read? I broke my head for over two hours searching on Google trying to do this. Lets see how this goes. I'll post updates on my results.

Could you please share that ebook with me? I've been trying to master pipes for twitter but thinking I need a guide.

Could you help a fellow member out? :D
 
UPDATE: My account just got suspended. The system sent out 10 RTs and got 6 clicks and within minutes the account was banned. It was a new account plus 10 tweets is a lot so it must have triggered the SPAM filter. This definitely has potential. I'm going to make some improvisations to the system and post my results again.
 
Yes I got some ideas for this and tweetattacks. Let's give it a shot and see..
 
Been away for a day. Just giving this another go. This time I'm sending traffic to a CPA offer through a landing page. Using an aged account. Limited the number of RTs to 3 and mixing with a news feed with 2 RTs so a combined total of 5 RTs per hour. Will report back in an hour to see if the account stays.

And make sure you set up the accounts to look legit, fill everything out, add some of the recommended followers that twitter suggests. Letting the account age a few days is good too.

It's not a fool proof way of getting the accounts to stay, I've had some get banned, but I've also had some stick. Regardless the ones that got banned lasted at least a week.

Sorry. I'd already finished my first setup when I cam here and posted on this thread. Only after doing so I read that ebook and your post and by the time I realized I should change my setup my account was already suspended.

If the system actually works. I wouldn't mind lowering the number of RTs via PIPES down to 2 per hour to make the accounts last. My idea is to scale this to a model where I am able to bring in highly targeted traffic and look for only 1 lead per account per day. Then spread this across 30 - 40 accounts with traffic directed to $2 email submits. But all that depends on how long the accounts last. If this works its a pretty easy set and forget $50 a day channel.

How did you guys get the RSS feed of the Twitter's search engine? It's really required in using Yahoo Pipes through the Fetch Feed feature. I see that the RSS feed of Twitter's search engine is gone.

this is old thread and no rss in twitter anymore this method never works and not anymore
 
Works for me *shrugs*

Had one running since last June idk where my source is but it slowly but surely aggregates... Excited to go through my Followers list & see some entertainers & actors (blue check mark) followed while I stopped tweeting for like 4 months lol :)

Set up a new set on a dummy profile, got 800 TARGETED (or so) , REAL INTERACTIVE followers in less than a month! 600 subscribers on my YouTube with no need to exaggerate, just enjoying the fruits of labour :)
