Hey all,
When I first started my Shopify store, I spent weeks testing products, tweaking my store, and running ads… but got zero sales. It was frustrating and made me doubt everything.

Eventually things clicked after a lot of trial and error.

Did anyone else go through that “no sales” phase? What actually helped you break through?

Would love to hear your experiences.

tweaking, not getting emotionally attached to products and constantly learning.

Selling on a platform is also a great idea; however, you will face difficulties, and pressure is what creates diamonds.

When you’re just starting out, things can feel challenging. The key is to keep learning consistently and focus on building your strengths over time.

A lack of sales means either poor marketing or a product that isn't needed. You just need to stay calm and look at things objectively. Don't dwell on setbacks—it's just statistics.

Improving quality primarily involves precise traffic acquisition. From an advertising perspective, the more precise the traffic acquisition, the better the quality.

How to achieve precision:
1. Set audience and interest groups on the ad side to define the interests of your target audience;
2. Add a landing page filter before redirecting to a sales lead link. For example, add a quiz landing page where customers fill out simple questions, then redirect them to a sales lead to complete the quiz. This extra step increases customer engagement. However, it will also increase your advertising costs.

the "zero sales" phase is basically a rite of passage. what actually moved the needle for me was stopping the broad targeting and getting hyper-specific on who i was selling to. once i knew exactly who my buyer was, the copy, the creatives, everything got sharper.

also stopped tweaking the store obsessively. the store was fine. the problem was i wasn't getting the right eyes on it. focus on traffic quality over store polish if you're stuck early.

everyone burns cash at first. what finally broke the dry spell for me was killing broad ads and strictly testing raw ugc creatives on tiktok to build actual trust.

Most people quit right before they find their winning product. The key is to analyze your data: if you have high traffic but no sales, the issue is your product page or price. If you have no traffic, the issue is your creative/hook. Don't look for a 'mentor' as a first step; look at what your successful competitors are doing differently.

Yeah, that “no sales” phase is pretty common when starting out.
Most of the time it comes down to either traffic not being targeted enough, or the offer not being clear enough for people to trust it yet. A lot of beginners also focus heavily on tweaking the store or ads before they’ve really validated the product or messaging.
What usually changes things is getting real feedback from actual visitors, then adjusting based on that instead of guessing. Once the offer, targeting, and trust start lining up, things tend to shift pretty quickly.

Not Getting a Sale depends upon the number of factors .
You cannot just create a shopify website upload a product and start getting order .

You need to do a proper product hunting .
After that optimize the website for speed and performance (to minimize the bounce rate)
Do proper marketing .

& there can be other factors as well .
Don't give up , try to implement the above things and you will start getting sales .

Yep, went through the same phase. What helped me was focusing on one solid product, improving the product page (better copy + social proof), and testing creatives instead of constantly switching products. Also, dialing in the right audience made a big difference. Stick with it
