I found this looking for some help using Tor.

I was wondering if it's possible to pick out the exact IP I want to use with it? When I open the vadalia network map it shows them all, yet it keeps giving me the same IP when I click 'New ID'. Any current settings to choose the nodes? or I wouldn't mind paying a small one time fee for a software that will allow me to do it.

If I can't, what other program is recommended? I'm kinda liking Tor because most of the proxies I have been able to use have decent speed, haven't been used on the site I'm using it for and seem to not be detected as proxies :p

Get a list of active tor nodes. Decide the ones you want to use. Put them in your torrc file under "exit node." Enjoy.

You've been lucky I've found Tor to be really slow even for browsing. I now have private proxies which work much better.
