Anyone Seeing a Google Update? Big SERP Changes?

Bunch of my sites have taken a massive hit these last 2 days, anyone else seeing this? Is there an update going on?

SERPs in my niches didn't stop dancing since the end of October.

All looking good here, just been checking a couple of clients sites and ranking, Kws and traffic all up.
 
my traffic is up bunches from nov 8. hit highest traffic mark ever thursday

A bunch of my sites had their most UV's over the last 2 weeks, but have all taken a huge nose dive for main KW's over the last 2 days. I have no idea why. I guess I will wait a week or so. Timing sucks as December is a great Amazon affiliate month...
 
Traffic up for me as well but as far as I'm concerned it does not mean anything anymore, I would much rather have half the traffic I have now pre-August 2018 because it converted much better. Google has modified search results and intent so conversions are much lower, at least in the niches I am working with.
 
They might be doing some kind of algo refresh because keywords for a couple of my posts that were anchor text overoptimized (and recovered) are dancing like crazy. The rest are doing fine.
 
My one site jump from second place to first on Google :)

every year the peak usually happen during Xmas till end of January or February ...

A bunch of my sites were low for black friday. They had peaked in the 2 weeks leading up to black friday, then nose dived 3 days ago. I cannot see a connection as to why this set of sites has been penalised, other than me creating Pinterest accounts and promoting a few pins.
 
I had a rush of organic search queries yesterday for about an hour (around 17:00 UK time) and then it went back to normal

He is right, SERP is fluctuating recently this month. On 27 th of November, even the volatility was very high. I am using rank risk index, you can find them on Google.

I am exactly the same around 4 or 5 of my sites and I can't find a connection either, I have been racking my brain, I have gone over everything I have done over the previous 2 weeks, and there are connections with 2 sites ie using disavow tool and it ties in for them as my 2 sites seemed to have dropped however I never used disavow on the other 2 sites - it really is weird as they have dropped down a few places for some words and other words they are on page 3. I did notice when I ran a speed check my sites were slower so I have adjusted this, I did use Pinterest and Flipboard. I am just going to wait it out and see what happens, I have a ton of other sites still doing ok but they ones hit one of them was my biggest site so I am hoping it's a temp thing - Very frustrating.

I was the same as you exactly the previous 2 weeks before I was hit my traffic was amazing - It's annoying

One other thing all of these sites have in common for me is jetpack ( i just like their stats page)

What positions are you in now?
Let's keep this updated so we can see if it's a temp thing or not
