I need a program/script that can crawl a particular forum for me and grab urls for any thread with particular words in the title. The forum moves really quickly, but I only need to monitor one particular sub-forum at a time. I need to be able to see when new posts I'd be interested in come up without having to constantly stare at the 1st page and mash f5, is all.

    Thanks,

    N

Simplest answer might be just to subscribe to the Forum's RSS feed using a desktop newsreader - and use the reader's search function of you have to. I do this for quite a few forums and it keeps me on top of the keywords I need to use. You can extend the keyword search by subscribing to a particular search RSS feed using technorati or Yahoo or Google video. I note Yahoo pipes also offer an RSS feed.

    HTH.

I'm afraid there's no rss feed on this one, it's just a small forum about a game. I trade items with people sometimes, but I don't want to sit and watch the trade forum all day to see if something I want gets posted. I was hoping there was a simple prog that'll watch for new threads and just notify me if something gets posted that I want.

    Thanks anyway.

I wouldn't mind having something like that myself.

I'm gonna try to write one with that iMacro prog you so lovingly shared, I'll keep you posted. If you'd like, pm me a forum you want to test it on.
