Many people receive these daily for like a year now in slightly re-worded version. You can find several threads even on BHW about this. Just ignore it.I just opened up my spam folder, 99% of the time I don't bother reading through it and Empty All, however this little gem caught my eye. Interestingly enough the password was a variation of an old password I used many moons ago, hilarious all the same.
PS: I don't own a webcam....
Scammers get the email password combos from leaked databases of compromised sites. Some of that data is very old and those combos are not in use anymore in many cases. That's how they know, and if you think about it a bit, it's a pretty neat trick, because it makes their story a lot more believable.
Not necessarily, people can capture webcam without turning the light on through rat or malware. But this is not the case with OP - it's just spam
