Anyone ranked a .ASIA? Its the only EMD available.

I am looking to buy a new domain name. The only EMD available is .ASIA. I want to rank in Australia. I actually want to buy a .com.au domain but its very difficult if your not in Aus.

Back to .ASIA's, I have never ranked one of these before. To be honest I don't think I have even seen one in the SERPS before!

When I looked on wikipedia it said they are designed for Asian and Australian businesses, which sounds promising.

Anyone had any experience of .ASIA's???

I don't think you should buy a .ASIA if you really want to rank it in Australia. It would be difficult, and after Googl's EMD update, I don't think it would be easy, EMD still rank, but they are kinda loosing that advantage of being EMD. DOn't go for .ASIA

I woudn't recommend you picking up .asia EMD, since EMD are being hurt nowadays. Try to go wit EMD+{x,1,2,s} at australian com.ua domain name

There's 1,1 million of them in Google - not a whole lot :P

But it's pretty much just a vanity domain with no real purpose. And com.au is much better for Australia, albeit might be a bit tricky to get, as OP said.
 
Yeah, but I mean like I never really actively searched one out or heard of anyone who wants to use one until now :P
 
went for a good old .com in the end now an EMD but close enough.
