Anyone playing WOW classic?

I think so. There are now two distinct worlds: "Classic" and what's being referred in-game as "retail". Classic is about 95% true to how the game launched in 2004, while the "retail" world is Warcraft as it currently stands, with 15 years of modifications to the world, some "Cataclysmic". The game play is easier on the "retail" worlds and there are more bells and whistles there. The classic seems to be a lot more fun and has a lot of returning players (like me). I think it has the better gaming experience, even if it takes longer to earn certain things.
It's definitely worth checking out. The tutorials are good and the general world chat is very helpful, especially if you let them know you're new to the game.

Good on you bro! I'm lvl 16 warrior now! People are so friendly I do quests slightly above my lvl expectations where I struggle, and people always invite me to their groups to help me. So satisfying.

Been playing this game for many many years.
I quit 2 years ago.
It's an amazing game, but be careful - it is very addictive.

Give it a go bro, its just come out again. Its basically an open world game, where you have your own character that you level up and buy armor and weapons for him/her. I think theres 200,000 people on each server max, so plenty to play with. Once your a higher level you can join peoples clans and start having clan battles where theres loads of you vs loads of the enemy clan. turns into a big player vs player match.
so much to do. so much fun.

Yeah I do know the jist of it, just not all the more detailed stuff like "Oh shiet you gotta buff that DPS on that level bro", like what?

Nah, I loved it though a long time ago. The amount of time I spent in Azeroth holy shit. Good memories.
Funny thing: I thought I was addicted but then I met this guy (now a friend, he was like the popular guy in school) I never imagined he played WoW but he did. He asked me how many days I played in-game time. I was hesitant to say at that point 17 days, was kinda ashamed. I asked his back... OVER 365 DAYS! And remember, this is IN-GAME time, so actual play time.

Ahh you have to ask over players.
Met someone yesterday who said "run out of their LOS"
And I said "LOS, got no idea what that is mate".
He then explained its line of sight, and said basically if an enemy is casting a spell at you, and you run behind a wall so their character cant see you, it disrupts their spell and they have to cast it again

I know that people are selling gold and characters, even gears on sites like epicnpc and similar.
Does anyone have experience with this?
There was a thread some time ago where a guy claimed he earns 200$ a day farming dungeons and selling epic items. That was WoD time. Not sure if it's possible.
Someone can make a good business out of it.
Just make a site that sells items, gold, characters and finds the way to promote inside of the game. He will easily find on this site and elsewhere people that are willing to sell their gold for a fee.

I spent a lot of time in WoW in the past. For a while during my uni days I botted the hell out of it to pay my rent but I also had my fair share of actual game time. 2v2 arena was my frigging jam.
I saw classic pop up the other day and I'll likely tune in for a stream or two this week but I can't bring myself to play again. I've got too much going on and I know what kind of a time sink I'd have if I started playing again.

I wish I was that smart! I knew the time sink and joined anyways. Got zero work done yesterday. LOL.
Thanks! I'm a lvl 13 Priest, Holy specialty. When I first joined in 04 my main was a warrior. Good times. I also have a lvl 1 Paladin named "Awkshun". I'll give you one guess what his purpose is. LOL!

I'm afraid to even look at my /played on my retail main. I'd probably be over 2 years if you looked at all my retail toons.

Right now I don't think so. The majority of people barely have 50 silver and that doesn't last long. I just blew 30 silver on class training and I still have 20ish silver left to spend, just to be caught up to my level! There was some talk about someone who had 1 gold or 5 gold yesterday, but I don't think anyone is even at the skill level yet to be raiding... at least on my server.
I never sold loot for real money, but I did farm for materials and loot back in the day, but for in-game money.

There are people earning more than that in forgotten games like Lineage || even in private Servers. With that kind of hype for WoW Classic and a decent party you can easily make a bank out of it especially now that everyone is struggling to 'be better than his friends'

I was making about $100/day back when WoW first released. I would look for gold selling sites and contact them via Live chat. I would sell my gold directly to them. I think 1 gold was worth about $10 back then(can't remember)
