Anyone overweight here ? [Journal]

The 20minue rule is a good way to lose weight. Eat a regular size meal, you may still feel hungry..WAIT 20minutes. It takes about 20 min. for your stomach to register the food with your brain. If you still feel hungry eat a small portion more. And get off your azzz more often.

Search for "Insanity" on PirateBay, download it and do it for 60 days. When you're done, report back. ;)

Insanity & P90X are good. :)

One of my favorites, an old school one is called "Navy Seal Burnout PT Challenge", it's an old ass VHS tape. But it shows you a lot of cool ways to stretch and exercise when you don't have things like a gym... Different ways to use your body weight.

And just like everything else, take it easy on these. Don't get flustered because you can't do an entire session of P90X. That shit is seriously intense and designed to wear out folks that are in excellent shape.... Of course it's going to feel like suicide for you. Just take a knee when you need to and jump back in as soon as you're able.

BodyBuilding.com is another great resource, especially for supplements and learning about supplements/training. Knowing HOW to exercise is just as key as exercising itself.

i can be the living example of non-photoshopped before and after pics :)

i lost 20kgs (from 92 to 72) in 2 months after i graduated from high school:
my recipe: lots of will power and logical thinking (regarding to what makes you fat)
hint: you don't need any magic pills

best of luck to you

Cut out carbs and you'll drop a lot of weight. There are two big mistakes people usually make: 1) assuming they can eat whatever they want as long as they work out, and 2) as long as they eat healthy, they don't have to workout. WRONG! Go to bodybuilding (dot) com and they will provide you with a 12 week nutrition and exercise guide for free. Good luck

3 km done, 7 km left for today.

Current weight - 100.1 kg

Thanks

After you get used to running, look up HIIT (high intensity interval training). Basically, you will do a super run (12-15 minutes) and you body will keep burning fat into the next day. It consists of intervals of jogging and sprinting, usually 30 seconds each (30 sec jog/30 sec sprint/30 second job/etc.).

I've been on myfitnesspal for a couple weeks. I highly recommend it. It's a pretty convenient way to track calories and exercise. Most foods are in the user built database. Accessible via apps if you prefer.

Keeps you on track. Wish I had thought of the website concept. It's free by the way - ad supported. Not that I ever see any ads running noscript...

Weight control is pretty simple if you look at calories taken in versus calories burned. (yes, nitpickers I know that a calorie technically is a unit of heat and you don't actually consume calories, but food that requires calories to burn)

I'm losing a steady 2.5 pounds per week so far and expect it to roughly continue like that till I reach my goal. At my age I can't eat whatever I want like I used to , so calorie counting and exercise will need to be part of my daily routine.

Anyone else notice the "current shape" pic looks oddly like he photoshopped Keanu Reeve's face onto a fat body?

That's not my body, I'm equally fat like that, found it on google image.

4 km done, 6 km to go.

Current weight - 100.00 kg

Today is the first day, so I will be posting after completing each km, I rest after walking for 1 km.The speed I'm on is 4.5 km/hr.

Do yourself a favor hon. If you want to weigh in, do it once a week, naked after you shower in the morning. Pick the same day every week. You're gonna drive yourself bonkers wondering why you've gained (water) weight every once and a while and it can get discouraging. I've stopped weighing myself. I only weigh when I go to the doctor. I just measure by how loose my clothes get. Your weight is going to fluctuate and inches are more important than pounds when accessing successful weight loss. If you are going to diet, make sure you're getting a lot of calories from protein so that your body doesn't start eating your muscle. Muscle is easier for the body to digest than fat, so you need to make sure you're eating a lot of protein to keep that from happening.

Ok, got ya.

Exactly. You're going to be very depressed when you re-hydrate and weigh the same as you did before.

It's easy for me to weigh 215lbs in the morning and somehow lose 3-5lbs throughout the day.

Fluids weight 8lbs per gallon.......... That's pretty heavy.

Yeah, get some Mass-tech, and instead of using skim, use whole milk and throw in a couple scoops of ice cream to make a milkshake. Drink one of those a day and watch the pounds pack on.

She's got a point. If you want to gain weight, you need to pack in the calories. Mass-Tech is one among many brands of supplements. Find you some weight gainer. I used to drink weight gainer twice per day. I was taking in 4,000 calories per day from the shakes alone. You'll gain weight.

Also, I should have expounded on my post earlier about getting on a low-carb diet. Here's how that works: the calories you take in are turned into glycogen which your body uses for energy. At any given time, your body is storing 3/4 to 1 pound of glycogen in emergency reserve. Here's the bad part: each glycogen molecule has 4 water molecules attached to it. Meaning 1 pound of glycogen equals 4 pounds of water. When you go on a low-carb diet, you force your body to release the glycogen in reserve which makes you lose water weight. The only problem is, if you get off the low-carb diet too fast, you will skyrocket back to your old weight or possibly even higher. So, you would need to either stay on the diet or ease off of it when you're done.

take oxy elite pro and just have protein shakes for 6 weeks, with some small meals, you won't have a lot of hunger, stop fannying about going for jogs or x miles, just sprint for 30 mins in bursts until you nearly puke. Weight will fall off you faster that a fat man in a furnace.

Ok, got ya.
Forget this. When you take a shit can you see your dick? That's your benchmark. Every week look between your legs at that flab of fat on your gut. Now you won't burn that off without losing man boobs, but it's a benchmark right!

That's only a good benchmark if your dick is tiny, the rest of us have to throw our dicks over our shoulder when we shit. Sorry, I couldn't resist :D

Losing weight and getting in shape is less a matter of specifics than it is a matter of keeping at it. Make sure you're reminded of why you're doing it every single day and you will never fail.
