You make a valid point. Recently, there has been increased competition in my niche. More creators must mean more material vying for viewers attention. I may need to make some changes to my posting approach.

The struggle is only for initial 1-2 years. Once you gain good number of followers there would be some people always waiting for your content. And then if they watch the content, YouTube will suggest the content to more people.

Yes that makes sense. The hardest part is undoubtedly the beginning. I’ll keep focusing on regular uploads and great content.
 
I noticed that one of my channels is getting atrocious likes


For every 1000 views it gets 6-8 likes.

check on search result of upload keyword videos for list of uploads with different impression according to host subscribers or views,most YouTube channel got rank/tweak with the expression.

usually creators get a higher rpm during Q4 , since these are the holiday seasons and people are going to purchase a lot during these periods, we believe youtube does this random selection of promoting some channels, while others go down, this is just a temporary thing, so just be patient for 2-3 months.
