Hey,

I have a site that did rank at the top of page 3 for a very competitive word.
Sometime ago i got it to page 5 and it got stuck.
I paid for 2 seperate xrumer blasts ...

The first blast was 10k and was about 3/4 months ago - as a result i moved from page 5 to the top of page 4.

The second blast was about 2 months ago for 20k and this moved me from top of page 4 to top of page which later dropped back to top of page 3.

I have sat on top of page 3 for about 2 months.

Today i dropped back to near bottom of page 5? all my other competition held there places ,,, only i dropped?

Any ideas why?

Is that all the link building you have been doing? If so that is the problem. You need to build links on at least a weekly basis. You can not just throw some links up there once every couple of months and expect to keep your rankings.

Profile links can and are removed over times as mods and admins clean up their sites, websites go down etc. You need to build links on regular basis. All my sites get some links at least twice and usually three times a week. And why would you stop when you got to the third page? Not going to make any money there, you should have kept going until you got to the first page.

Volund - agreed and no i dont want to stop at page 3!
just thought it was strange how i returned back to my original position i was at before i started using xrumer.
Not saying for one minute it is xrumer but just asking if anyone else has experienced the same?

I have had one xrumer blast of 5000 and my links keep building. I also post to blogs, directories and articles sites.

Profile links are profile links no matter how they are built. You are going to lose a bunch of them as time goes by. You also have the fact that you received a large amount of links in a short time and then stopped. That in itself will send your site up and then back down again even if you did not lose any of your links.

Xrumer is just a tool, it builds links those links are not worth any more or less just because the tool that was used to build them was xrumer. It is the links themselves and the pattern of building those links that are important not whatever tool was used to build them.

you're gonna lose the links from those xrumer blasts over time so you just have to keep blasting.
