Few days ago, it was fine to create accounts, but now every account would get shown with phone verification. Anyone noticing this?

We know Google reads this forum actively. If you see 200 BST's for YT services, they'll buy some of those services themselves and make SEO's lives miserable. YT has brought excellent methods for years now, now Google is cracking down on it.

Every dollar they take off the SEO market, is likely to end up in Adwords. So that's what they do: they will try to control the WWW. Hopefully that extra dollar they took from SEOs will end up in a Google competitor, now that would be a kicker.

It is very easy to bypass phone verification if you have any device that can download an app (phone, tablet, etc.). I use pinger to get a free number and i just make a new account and get a new number for every new YouTube account. I think that any free calling app would work too. It is becoming almost essential nowadays to verify your account, we have to get used to it somehow.

Fixed that up for ya...

You sure about that? I sure hope so. Competition in the search environment would be *very* healthy. At least Google would give SEOs a bit more respect, like they did in the early days when they needed us as much as we needed them.

My response was somewhat wishful thinking. However, a lot of people that do PPC dumped google and moved to facebook, or at least moved a good portion of their spends to facebook. When it comes to marketing IM stuff, I rarely see people talking about using adwords, it's almost always facebook and I've even started to see some people talking about twitter although that seems to be a different beast. There also seems to be a slow trend with more people talking about PPC on Bing lately. Ask yourself the question. If you decided to give up on SEO and go the PPC route, where would you go. I certainly wouldn't be going to Adwords.

Pinger stopped working for verification a long time ago, idk how you are still using it for verification.
