mined back in 2014 in digitalocean when they had free promo droplets and it was not worth the time alreday back then even if i had shitloads of droplets for free 
it is easier to go and look for empty bottles on street and sell them back(in my country 10cents(EUR) per empty bottle.

This can only be profitable if you're mining a coin that you are expecting to hit way above it's worth. But even then you could buy more crypto with the money then mining and make money.
Amazon and Azure have loads of overhead and you're also paying them to make profit.
