Anyone made $$$$ on steemit.com?

So, I stumbled across this new thing called steemit where people are making lots of money creating content for the website. I wonder what BHW members think about it. Has anyone found a good way to make lots of money on this website?

i have an account on that website and have written a few articles, hoping to get some earning there

I don't think there's a way to make ''lots of money'' there, because they have a well settled system that will compensate you for the value of your article.
I posted something there and started to make some $, but they also have cleaning bots that are verifying your content so it needs to be original or the post will be erased.

I m confident that the steem coin will blow in a couple of mounths, tho. So that might be a nice way to earn some dineros.

I have an account, I do not have much time registered, no more than 2 weeks, I have been reading a bit and observing the site but I get confused at certain times, I have uploaded a few post and have not had receptivity, although I would say it is normal for inexperience, but not that strategy to follow and do not know the functioning of many elements. A more focused strategy is needed in what category to publish, how to vote, better ways to produce a positive balance? If anyone has more experience in Steemit could give us a few tips.

Its a very strange platform. I have $400 pending article there, on my 3rd day of joining. If you plan to plagiarize it won't work, because cheetah will mark your post. If you act like a beggar people will ignore you. Only way to actually succeed there is to care about content and people, be creative and don't think about money. If you are trying to get a quick buck, you will fail. People will sense your intention. Start with blank document, don't scrape around for topics and ideas.
My advice is to NOT think about money.
Think about giving value. Forget standard boring way that works with mainstream media. Mainstream media can be manipulated. On steemit you don't have to, and you shouldn't. There is no product to sell. Its not stuff ads down someones throat type of thing. Just be yourself and talk about your passion, real passion, tell your story. Why? It might be a while before anyone notice you. If you are writing for the money, first few articles will earn pennies, and you won't stay long enough to be noticed.

I really don't understand the concept of that site.

Someone made 2 very good threads a few weeks back about it about making decent money on there. Even went as far as setting up his own promotion, claims to have been paid out lots of coins.

Some users are reporting that writing an interesting insight inside a post will start a debate and there your comment will earn a lot.
