How about finding one of these crawling about 12 inches from your 3 y/o daughter? What we have here is what I believe to be a desert recluse. I am not 100% sure, but I indeed live where they are...and it's the closest thing I can find to what I caught. (creepy either way)

This is his underside from inside a jar:

I used to be all into spiders / insects animals when i was a lot younger too me it looks like a brown recluse

:)

But again hard to tell from that pic.
Looks like 1001 spiders from the uk by that pic alone :P

Yeah it was the best pic I could get, the little bastard wouldn't hold still.

Harro, 1,001 spiders in the UK look like this? Well, thanks for making up my mind mate...I am NOT moving to the UK!

Jake, good pic...shows the eye setting very well on these little buggers... 3 sets of 2. I for one am not going to get EYE 2 EYE to try and identify one...too close for comfort.

NOTE: I have killed like 5 of these things in the last week or so alone. I think I need an exterminator.

its lucky to have a got in that jar - in my house it would be stuck to the bottom of my shoe! lol

the missus doesn't believe in just stomping on them she insists on the stomp and drag method so she can make sure all its mangled limbs are completely dismembered! either that or death by drowning in raid bug killer!

day or night i have to be on call! lol

here in texas i dont mind the odd spider/tarantula here and there its the damn jumping spiders i dont like cos they are so quick and you dont know where theyre gonna go, that and the scorpions! :)

if you got a lot of these and they are recluse spiders make sure you get any bites taken care of straight away you dont want this happening your lil girl - warning nasty pic!

LOL, I am all for the stomp and drag method. However I actually enjoy Jumping Spiders...some of them are pretty cool...and most (if not all) are harmless. They just have their own little personality..it's great:

hehe yes but you got to remember 95% of them are harmless :P in the UK we dont have many things that can kill you insect wise (unless ofcourse your allergic i.e bee stings etc.. )

Yeah I have seen that pic many times. That poor fool decided to wait a couple days before going to the hospital...

Moral? Don't be a "Manly" man...get your shit looked @!

I despise all insects and spiders. Insectophobia and Arachnophobia for the lose.
