anyone know what adsense considers an acceptable clickthrough rate?

my clickthrough rate jumped from 0.003 percent lately to 2.58% today.

2.58 isn't that high, i think anything up to 5% is more than acceptable

it depends on a lot of factors,niches like dating etc have a higher ctr.
also they also consider the conversions for the advertiser like how much time the visitor is staying at the advertisers site etc.

im not doing anything to force the clicks. it just worried me i made alot today compared to usual.

I wouldn't worry unless your getting something close to 100% every day for a while.

You're traffic will flucuate and so will your click thru rate. Generally what I've seen is that the more traffic I get my CTR tends to inch up higher and higher.

I ran a CTR of 230% for 2 weeks... before they closed my account.
