Hi everyone,

I accidently found a channel that should theoretically be closed based on Youtube policies. Not sure if I can share the channel name here due to bhw policies.

This channel exists since 2018 but it started to upload entire movies since the 17 April 2023. Before that date, it had no videos. Since then, it gained massive followers in a very short time and a lots of views.

My first guess is that this is an old account which was already monetized long time ago, and than it was bought. The new owner deleted all previous content and started to upload new ones.
My question is, how is this is even possible or even allowed. Doesn't Youtube recognize such content? Or does the owner of this channel knows it won't last long so he is just doing this method for short time, collects the ads revenue, and then rinse and repeat?

I would love to get your feedback on this.

Thanks

It could be that youtube is not catching on to what's going on, it could be one of those rules that exist but is not actually enforced. You're going to have to at least explain what's the channel about or what policies its breaking if you want us to answer that lol. Just not enough information to go by.

I think there is a video uniqueization. And YouTube algorithms do not see violations.

Thanks for that taking your time to reply. The channel uploads entire movies, which some of them are lasting up to 2hours. Theoretically it should breach several policies such as Copyright Infringement, Content ID, Terms of Service etc.

Just noticed now that the titles of the movies he uploaded are invented titles, so this could be a reason why Youtube does not catch it up.

I notice that sites that do the same, change the names of the movies, for example the movie is the punisher and they name it the avenger , also that they speed up, cut 10 frames every 1 minute, audio change or stuff like that but yeah those channels seems to break any logic about youtube dectection algo and always get away with it.

Yeah, definitely some backend stuff to make sure the algorithm doesn't detect them. Either slightly speed up, cut a few frames or some sort of fuckery like that. Those types of channels don't last, so I'm assuming the guy just buys monetized ones, milks them as much as he can before they get banned, and move on to the next ones. Never tried it myself, so I can't say whether it's effective or not. How manyu views do the videos get?

You wouldn't believe me:

Also noticed that the videos does not have the beginning, neither the ending of the movie.

Nevertheless, this guy is milking since the 16th April and his channel is still up.
