Hey! Anyone knows if we can still inject keywords using those redirect urls? like when you use something like

website.com/redirect?url=https://website.com/key-word

and try to push some keywords through it. Its a Grey hat seo method. I heard some people used to do this for indexing or to make crawlers pick up keywords, not for backlinks, just to get stuff seen faster. Not sure if it still works now or just dead. anyone tried this recently? Anyone can tell me how its actually done or if it still works?

largely outdated in 2025 mate, modern algorithms prioritize content relevance, user intent, and natural signals over URL parameter tricks.

Hey Kenzo ,

Injecting keywords through redirect URLs is generally ineffective and can be detrimental to your website's SEO. Search engines like Google have sophisticated algorithms that detect and penalize such practices, considering them as spamdexing or cloaking. Additionally, using open redirects can harm your site's reputation and lead to indexing issues. For legitimate SEO benefits, focus on creating high-quality, keyword-rich content and building natural backlinks.
