Anyone Know How To Get A Category Approved in Amazon?

I hope this is the right thread for this question. I am so dang frustrated with Amazon. I am trying to get approved to sell clothing on Amazon and it has been a struggle trying to find out exactly what requirement I am not meeting with my site. I can't seem to get a hold of anyone there to talk to.

Anyone gotten approval with Amazon that can give me tips on how to get approval?

From what I understand you have to be an established business already selling products directly for whatever category you need approval in, clothing, cell phones, whatever. They don't want the average joe flooding these categories, unlike books where anyone can sell easily. I've tried to get approval in the cell phone category before and it's super hard unless you're actually already a real established store.
