Anyone know how reddit detects fake account?

(nb: I still believe reddit is the absolute worst social media platform available but I'm stuck needing to use it)

I've been using VPNs and changing browser signatures. Sometimes, I'll even change devices.

I have ONE account that seems to get flagged each time that I use it. Each time it gets nailed... I create a new one and it gets nailed too.

The other dozen accounts are fine. It's only this one account and everything that replaces it.

I used to bot Reddit alot, both through their APIs and using Selenium + Custom built chrome instance (that I could mess with some of the aspects of browser which you cannot override easily).

Based on my experience:
API is straight forward, the user agent line and the places you interact with + IP address.
Desktop: a combination of IP (first layer identification) + places you interact with (not a magic AI thing, mostly from reports of users) + screen depth/ram/cpu model + user agent (specially if it doesn't match with the rest of the request, e.g. you say you're on windows but your navigator.platform says MacIntel) + canvas/webgl fingerprint + plugin list (which is kinda deprecated at the moment)

On top of that I haven't seen audio fingerprinting on reddit so don't bother cracking that.

But if you're a normal user (not a spammer per se), create the account on mobile, use a gmail, and mobile data. Then move to VPN after you get some Karma.
 
are you using this accounts to spam or promote? It could just be users are manually flagging you.

Obviously, I try to mimic being real user. So, I like and post positive comments on shyte that I have zero interest in.

But, when I'm not engaging in the useless crap and noise... I'm promoting.

its either subreddit admins or ip address
 
If you can beat them on the frontend you won't have issues. There isn't some sophisticated AI patrolling the site.
 
Are you just spamming popular subs or what? What action is leading up to your accounts being suspended?
 
You can never know what algo they have in place to detect bots (or differentiate humans and bots ) they will never disclose . The most you can do is use good 4g ips and maintain human behavior as possible .

The last one didn't even get a chance to post.

It started several weeks ago with ONE account that got banned. So, I created a new one to replace it and it got banned.
It's literally just the ones that I create to replace that one account. All other accounts seem to be fine.

If it's just 1 account I would move on and keep posting on the other ones.
