Not really. Nobody responds to you on X (formerly Twitter) or Reddit. People care too much about likes and upvotes. Not to mention people are too competitive and self-absorbed. Those are the kinds of people social media attracts. Very few actually thoughtfully pay attention to others. Networking on sites like Goodreads or online forums gives you more of a chance of finding someone to work with.
