Anyone know a way to see google's analytics tracking?

Really confused by my website's traffic. I've been using google's analytics to track a site that I plan to monetize with adsense.

Some background: At this point, it has about 20 pages of content with new pages being added every week. It's 100% white hat with very few backlinks-I think I built like 5 backlinks. Everyday when I check stats, I see 2-3 visits. Monday I had 9 visits, Tuesday I had 22, and today I had 178 page views and 64 visits. I damn near fell out of my chair. I thought my site was still way too small to pull any kind of PR or authority.

Naturally, I checked the referring sites using my analytics on wp since they update faster than google's page, I saw that only 4 of them showed as coming from google. I know google's policy is to not show search terms for logged in users, but does anyone know of a way (poss black hat) to work around this? How the hell am I supposed to know where these people are coming from or if maybe there is a keyword that I've suddenly ranked that is sending the traffic? I read another thread that mentioned other tracking services-do any of them track google keyword searches? I'm not complaining at all, just trying to figure out where they're coming from!

Analytics will tell you the referring keywords.

Edit: That's weird I never knew about that logged in user thing, I guess most of my visitors aren't logged in. Anyways, you can look up your most popular keywords in G Webmaster Tools if you use it, but it only updates like once a week.

I've clients asking me so often, and here is your answer:

There is NO possible way to see what the search terms are. HOWEVER, you can use advance filter, filter the / as source/medium, then go to secondary, and select landing page.

It will NOT give you the exact search term, but you will at least get an idea which page they landed / entrance page.

So if you're site is about pets-training, and you see a lot of those / visitors landing on dog-training, then you know that page is doing pretty well. Of course, I am neglecting bounce rate and other metrics in this example.

Just wanted to come back and update this thread. I installed a different stat plugin after posting this. The new plugin reports ips and it can also distinguish between human traffic vs bots. After a full 24 hours installed, it's showing 83 bots hit my site today and 33 humans. Google's analytics also updated from yesterday's fiasco and it showed 34 visits. I think I already did what^ suggested by changing some of the analytics filters yesterday, but it'll take a few days to see how things get updated. At least it's getting some steady traffic so I have a chance to work out these kinks!

You can do this... involves a lot of work. You would have to export data from web master tools, as well as analytics.. The logged in users will still show search queries in webmaster tools. Compare the two, and you will have your ghost keywords.

Yes, I agree with this opinion and great idea.. You can use this way.
