Because Serpbook sucks with local listings. They literally just showed all my rankings disappear the other day which scared the shit out of me and I checked manually and I was still there, just dropped a little. It also shows incorrect positions. For example it's showing one of my clients as #2 in the local results for one of the keywords and when I check manually they are #10. Serpbook is great for organic results, but not for local.
Any recommendations for a good LOCAL serp tracking service / program?
On a side note - is the below 6 actions still the major things you have to do to get ranked locally? Did anything change in the last year?
1) Building new citations / online directories
2) Fixing already existing citations / online directories to make sure the name address and phone number is consistent
3) Optimize your website for local SEO (schema, NAP in header & footer, good keywords, meta description & title, heading tags, link to Google+ page)
4) Optimize your Google+ page (add pictures, posts, header image, logo, fill out profile completely, etc.)
5) Build links to citations
6) Get online reviews on local directory websites as well as your Google+ page.
Am I missing anything with the above list?
