Anyone here use Sikuli for building bots?

I have been messing around Sikuli it for a while now and made a pretty sweet bot for Soundcloud. It only does one very specific thing, so I don't think it's really worth sharing(unless someone wants to follow like 1000 people per day on soundcloud, if you do let me know and I'll be happy to share it)

But Sikuli is an interesting language, that you can automate some pretty advanced things visually. It's hard to explain, but it's free and open source so if you don't know about it you should check it out. And if you do know about it, and have worked with it before, I would love to hear your thoughts, or if you have any ideas that have helped you with it.

Sikuli is an interesting language but the fact that it's so slow and difficult to scale up made me move away from it. It's okay if you're writing a simple bot.

What languages do you work with for bot building?

I'm always up for learning more.

I have been tempted to get UBot but it's a tough choice between that and just building something from scratch say with python(I've used that successfully for a couple projects as well)

I have been impresses with bots people have made with ubot and shared on here for sure though. But if you have any suggestions I'm all ears.

sikuli is a great program for specific tasks
it does require use of a (Virtual) screen and does use a fair amount of memory for the amount of work it can accomplish

that said it can make building a tester rather quickly for a specific purpose before completing large amounts of effort building a socket based browser emulator that could be threaded

being based on python the possibilities are open to a wide range of applications

also the core sikuli IDE has a VERY low barrier to entry for someone without any experience writing code

Sikuli is slow but it's good for visual based bots, when html parsing is needed and more speed i use selenium server, and when i need even more speed then i use beautiful soup library. Conclusion: Python rules .

IMO if you are going to use sikuli you may as well just skip the mumbo jumbo and start learning python. The syntax is super easy and you'll be able to automate anything.

I have used sikuli to automate scrapebox and xrumer before with lots of success.

Something like ubot is far better for automating web tasks, while sikuli is better for managing desktop programs or flash sites.

I got uBot nulled with the pdf documentation. It cant export the exe but u can load the project and run locally. Pm me if u need it. I think its in the DNS list.
